Homeless Coalition Drive

March is our annual drive for the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition. Please bring any donations you have with you to your exams. We have a box set up in the office if you would like to drop anything off. As always a percentage of our proceeds from eyeglass sales will be donated. Thank you for supporting our small business so that we can help give back to our local community.

January is Glaucoma Awareness Month

Did you know glaucoma can cause complete blindness?

It is estimated that 3 million Americans have glaucoma…. but only half of them know it.

What are risk factors for glaucoma:

Age– the older we get the higher the risk

Ethnicity– African Americans and people of Asian decent have the highest risk

Family History– Do you have a sibling or parent with glaucoma?

Medical conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can increase your risk

– History of eye injury or Steroid use

Everyone over the age of 45 should have an annual dilated eye exam to check for this. Glaucoma if caught early enough can prevent vision loss and be very treatable.

Is it over one year since your last eye exam?

Introducing New Dailies Total 1

Introducing new Dailies Total 1

Newest technology in daily disposable contact lenses.

Dailies Total 1 are the first and only water gradient lenses, produced by Alcon, and are the result of more than a decade of product development. The daily disposable soft lenses feature an inner core that is 33% water, and the water content increases to more than 80% at the front and back surfaces of the lenses. These surfaces include an ultrasoft surface gel designed to provide exceptional “Lubricity”. They are supposed to be so comfortable that you do not feel them at all.
